Micro Management Series

New Inclusive Management Training

We know people leaders are busy! That’s why we created a leadership development series of micro workshops to provide continuous opportunities for learning and growth that are bite-sized yet impactful.  Based on our Inclusive Leadership Framework, the series helps managers and supervisors develop essential competencies and skills.

Bite-sized workshops for busy leaders

According to a Gallup report, only 30% of supervisors were promoted based on their supervisory skills and experience. Throwing middle managers “into the deep end” isn’t new. However, middle management has expanded dramatically in the last 20 years. Now, in addition to navigating hybrid work environments and AI adoption, there’s a rising tide of burnout. Successful leadership requires managing the nuances of the human side of a changing work environment – which takes skills.

“Emotional and social intelligence remain top leadership capabilities when it comes to meeting current and expected business needs,” says a 2025 Harvard Business study. Plenty of research shows that empathetic, inclusive leaders vastly improve engagement, belonging, productivity, and more, but many haven’t been trained to cultivate and demonstrate interpersonal skills.

These workshops accommodate busy schedules while still offering engaging opportunities for skill-building.  Multiple touch points help to reinforce and extend participants’ leadership development and connections with each other.

Why Inclusive Management Training?

There is a sharp rise in polarization, record-low engagement in workplaces, and managers are unprepared to lead people, especially as businesses work to adopt and integrate AI into their operations.  A Harvard Business study in 2025 said that “given that challenges will inevitably arise as AI adoption becomes more widespread, ethical and inclusive leadership is rising in importance, as is building a change-ready organization.”

According to a Gallup report, only 30% of supervisors were promoted based on their supervisory skills and experience. Throwing middle managers “into the deep end” isn’t new. However, middle management has expanded dramatically in the last 20 years. Now, in addition to navigating hybrid work environments there’s a rising tide of burnout, Successful leadership benefits from inclusive management training, which builds the skills for managing the human side of a changing work environment.

What is Inclusive Leadership?

Inclusive leadership, simply put, is acting in ways that include, value, respect, and treat all people fairly. Through their everyday behaviors and interactions, inclusive leaders foster an environment where people can be authentic and feel that they belong.

An inclusive leadership approach integrates emotional intelligence, growth mindset, relationship-building, and leveraging diversity. Inclusive leaders understand that each person is different and important – and that each person is unique in terms of the skills and talents that they possess. They manage the strengths as well as the perceived challenges that arise from a diverse work environment. They don’t just ignore or tolerate people’s differences; they celebrate them!

The aim of inclusive leadership is to create workplace cultures that enable all individuals to thrive. The result? A positive, productive, and innovative workplace culture.

While the workplace is always changing, the pace of change has noticeably accelerated over the past decades. This has had a dramatic impact on most organizations. Demographics and values are shifting, and the world is growing increasingly diverse. It’s become clear that promoting inclusivity in a company is not just “the right thing to do”, but an imperative for increasing employee engagement, satisfaction, and business success. Cultivating inclusion starts at the top – through the practice of inclusive leadership. Part of the role of an inclusive leader is to make employees feel valued, included, confident, and motivated. With inclusive leadership, it’s a win-win for everyone.
