This exceptional professional development experience will equip you to train others in your organization. Through intensive training and preparation, you’ll learn the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to facilitate content.
Elevate your professional growth and take an active role in supporting your organization’s culture!
“I am so lucky to be part of this learning journey. Thank you for helping me grow as a person.”
About the Train-the-Trainer Learning Experience
In a train-the-trainer model, we prepare select employees to train within the organization. In addition to learning I.D.E.A. content to pass onto others across HHC, you’ll develop the skills to do so.
INCLUSITY L.A.B. - Sept. 10-12
The train-the-trainer process starts with an Inclusity L.A.B., which stands for leadership, awareness, and behavior. Through this experiential, three-day workshop, you’ll grow a deeper understanding of yourself and others. The deep dive into emotional intelligence, socialization, bias awareness, and skill-building will provide you with a solid foundation for training.
What to Expect:
- Participatory learning and deep introspection
- In-depth discussions and sharing meaningful stories
- A supportive environment where you’ll feel safe to ask questions and express challenges
I.D.E.A. CONTENT IMMERSION - Sept. 30-Oct. 2
In this three days of training, you’ll become more acquainted with the I.D.E.A. content that you’ll be facilitating. Experiencing it first as a participant will help cement learning; you’ll start to connect the content, the approach, and the learning outcomes.
Inclusity facilitators will walk you through the content from a facilitator perspective, so you can understand the “why” and the “how.” Facilitator support materials also provide you with step-by-step instruction, tips, and takeaways.
PRACTICUM IMMERSION - Oct. 21-22
Time to apply your learning and practice! With a partner, you’ll take the content piece-by-piece, facilitating to your fellow train-the-trainer participants. As you practice, Inclusity facilitators are there to answer any of your questions and to observe you. Inclusity facilitators and other participants will provide feedback so you can continue honing your skills and competence.
CERTIFICATION - TBD
After ample practice, you’ll demonstrate proficiency facilitating in a pilot workshop to HHC employees. An Inclusity facilitator will be there to observe and to certify you as an internal I.D.E.A. trainer moving forward.

Why a Train-the-Trainer Program?
To further its strategic efforts toward equity, diversity, and belonging, HHC partnered with Inclusity, an inclusion training and consulting organization. The partnership’s goal is to enhance and sustain a positive, inclusive workplace culture. An inclusive culture helps all employees, patients, clients, and vendors feel welcome and valued.
The partnership launched in 2022 with a culture assessment. In 2023, senior leaders and inclusion council members experienced the immersive Inclusity L.A.B. training. And inclusion councils were established or expanded. This spring, nearly 400 managers and supervisors took part in inclusive leadership workshops.
Ultimately, the goal is for all employee to share a common understanding of an I.D.E.A.-listic (inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility) culture. So, a next step in this corporate-wide effort is to train all employees. Instead of relying on an external partner to train everyone, a train-the-trainer approach empowers employees to take the lead. It allows the program to live within the organization.
